800 feet from the hotel you'll find river view cafe, you'll definitely enjoy your meal. Nice comfy base for trip in Guilin. There was free parking❤
Nothing, no complaints at all.

We booked a riverview room and receive one on the 5th flour. Very noisy so if you prefer to sleep rather than having a good view, don t book a riverview room. The staff does not speak English unfortunately but we managed somehow. They are not overly friendly either. No breakfast facilities at the hotel but there is a wonderful restaurant that offers great food and coffee. The price/quality is very good.
Very noisy riverview rooms!

The hotel staff only speaks chinese. I had to speak with a translator over the phone to get myself understood. When I check out one bathroom towel was missing from the bedroom and they immediately accused me from stealing, I had to open my bags to prove that I didn't have it!

Location is ok.
No knowledge of even basic English - the receptionists had to phone an English speaker for every simple question posed. Drainage in bathroom broken, resulting in daily leaks from both the sink and the shower. The room wasn't cleaned before our arrival and check-in at 8 pm. No wifi in room/hotel. No breakfast in the hotel.

EVERYTHING.....This hotel misrepresented itself in so many ways...we booked a Deluxe Riverview Room, initially they gave us the keys ( no one accompanied us to the room, no assistance with our 4 bags) to a very dirty room at the side of the Hotel with a view of a wall ( we have travelled extensively & would rate it 2 star at most). When I went to reception & poinyed out we had "contracted" for a Riverview room they wanted to charge us another 40 rmb!!! I refused...then the back & forth, including numerous phone calls to a male that spoke english, began. When they realised I was not going away, almost an hour later, they gave us what we originally agreed on but, and this is the best part, they then wanted to charge 40 rmb deposit on the key to the first room until I bought it back!!! We cancelled the 2 remaining nights...

Nothing!!!!!....ABSOLUTELY Nothing...it was the "hotel from hell""!!!!!!! When we arrived we received no assistance from the "doorman"???, Sitting at the door, with our luggage.....the room they initially gave us was dirty and not the "deluxe riverview room " we booked and paid for...when I pointed this out they wanted to charge me another 50 rmb for the original booking, an hour later , after phone calls, back & forth, we were, reluctantly, given the keys to the room originally booked and then they wanted to charge us 40 rmb deposit on the key for the original room!!!.....The bill was an absolute mess (and probaly still is...) , we cancelled 2 of the remaining 3 nights and they wanted to charge us for both of them (and possibly did...looking forward to checking our Visa account...).
We had been travelling all day and as soon as we walked in to reception the girl at a lobby travel desk started harassing us about a Li River trip, then put us on the wrong bus the next day...we had to get a cab back to the hotel, pay him ourselves, get picked up by a another car and chase the right bus!!!!....................................COULD Never ever recommend this dreadful hotel to anyone and would recommend you take them off your list !!! This matter is not over yet...we feel so strongly about the poor service and standard of rooms that we intend complaining to the Chinese Consultate!

The hotel was generally nice, however our room and reception service was poor. The value for money was poor. the location was good and the restaurant had good service
my booking said 864 was total hotel fee but they added another 15% the hotel booking voucher did not have my name so i had to prove the booking was mine. the room allocated was very small and not worth the money (rate for room) the hotel staff sent us to a room with double beds instead of a double bed as requested. there were no english TV channels or movies available the booking showed a room with balcony, however we had a room looking onto a building well of 3 other buildings, so could not open our curtains. Yes it was a dungeon !! disgusting. in summary, i would not book at this hotel again ! it was terrible for the price i paid.

Handy to the river and walking street.
The combined shower/toilet thing takes a bit of getting used to in China...

The best part of our stay here was the view. We were a bit disappointed because we thought we had booked rooms with a balcony but the picture windows with an amazing view over the river was terrific. The rooms were spacious...rather amusing to have the bathrooms in a glazed corner of the room so that one could actually see and chat with someone out in the hallway from within the shower!!! (If one wanted to!!) Very convenient to get to 7star park which was amjor disappointment and not worth the entrance fee. Also very convenient to walk along the river front and get a pretty good view of elephant hill and close to the pagodas - lovely evening stroll around the lake. Our friends booked into much more upmarket hotel just up the road and were envious of our spacious rooms with lovely view.
We tended to stay out later into the cool of the evening and so it was not comfortable to be woken up by the staff talking loudly around 8am... Found quite a number of pomegranite seeds on the floor having not eaten any ourselves... Although there was an internet connection you needed your own laptop to access it. Other hotels had a couple of computers available for the guests to access internet on.

The view from the rooms pointing towards the river was nice. Is situated well in the city.
